Engineering for the systems that move goods across borders.

We build and support trade compliance software — import and export rules, product classification, and customs filing — and we place experienced engineers on the teams that run it.

One code decides duty, licensing, and admissibility. Getting it right is the work.

A government sets the date.

Compliance work does not wait on a product roadmap. A regulation arrives with a scope, a set of product data, and a day it takes effect. The catalog is already large. The filing still has to be complete, and the system that produced it has to be supportable the morning after launch.

Daintree Technologies was established in Redmond in 2016. The early work was unattended field systems and cloud platforms. The current work is the software that keeps a catalog, a classification, and a filing aligned when a rule takes effect.

What we do

Three practices, used on their own or together. The engagement can be an engineer on your team, a milestone project, or a fixed-fee delivery.

01

Global trade compliance technology

Software that lets products move across borders in line with the rules of each market: classification, filings, documents, and reporting.

The compliance practice
02

Contract engineering

Engineers who join an existing team and contribute quickly, for a regulatory deadline or for long-running platform work.

How contracting works
03

Cloud and data engineering

Pipelines and storage on AWS and Azure, plus the modernization, logging, and manuals that keep a system operable.

Regulations our engineers have built for

These are the regimes our engineers have delivered software against.

Regulations and what the software has to do
Regulation Market What the software has to do
EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) European Union Identify in-scope products and capture the due-diligence evidence before goods enter or leave the EU.
Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) European Union Evaluate products against packaging requirements and track compliance status across a catalog.
EU Customs Reform European Union Shared compliance foundations, including HS-code rules, that serve several regulations at once.
UK customs declarations United Kingdom Move shipment data between trade and customs platforms so import filings are complete and on time.
Brazil tax reform (NF-e) Brazil Generate and validate electronic tax invoices required to release cross-border shipments.
Mexico import entries Mexico Consolidate entry documents, audit them after entry, and produce periodic customs reports.

Selected work

The practice started in wireless research and cloud platforms, grew into trade compliance engineering, and has returned to satellite network research.

How we work with you

We match the engagement to the work: an extra engineer, a milestone-based project, or a fixed-fee delivery.

Contract resources

Engineers who join your team under your direction, billed monthly. This works well for extra capacity, on-call coverage, and steady platform work.

Milestone projects

A defined scope delivered in stages, from design through testing to launch support, with payment tied to each accepted milestone.

Fixed-fee delivery

A clear statement of work and a single price. This suits migrations, open-source releases, and other well-bounded projects.
